Waiting to get started? Why not get started without waiting?
Many a times, all of us wait...wait...and wait...especially so when it comes to executing a fitness regime even when it will mean a step closer to achieving ones fitness goals.
Today we will share on how busy mums can help themselves get back on track, a few pointers that you may find it useful to take home.
We have to ask ourselves why do we want to achieve this goal(s) and to be clear about it. Consider the consequences, what if we continue down the current path we are on - then what? What are the benefits of reaching these goals?
What do you envision at the end of it:
- To banish those extra fats
- To rid that cellulite hanging around
- To drop a few kilos
- To rip up those hidden muscles
Now, get your pens moving and jot it all down. Stick them up on the fridge where it is visible everyday. Note to self: I can do this if I really want that result!

- Action speaks louder than words, so...
- Goals; write them down, what is it that you want? Use the S.M.A.R.T goal setting methodology. Be (i)specific of your goal, drill them in to prioritize your fitness goals. Your goals have to be (ii)measurable;eg. to lose 3% body fats in 2 months. Look at your goals and see if it's (iii)attainable;say if going to the gym 2-3 x a week or squeezing in 30 min daily is doable? Of cos our goals have to be (iv)realistic, we can aim for the ultimate result but we really suggest we go with that baby step first. Lastly set a (v)timeline for your goals to be achieved before moving on to the next goal.
- Write about your experience. If u do not have anyone on ur side, then seek out and establish a positive support system - online forums are an excellent way to go about this. This is what mummiesinfitness is about, we write and share and someday you will be the one writing in to us to share your stories.
- Forgive yourself: make the most of where you are right now and make the next best step forward!
